How to stake on
Avalanche (AVAX)
Step 1 - Download the Core Wallet
- Website: https://core.app/
- Navigate to the mentioned URL and locate the download button or link for the Core Wallet.
Step 2 - Access the Core Wallet
Once downloaded and installed, launch the Core Wallet application.
Step 3 - Set Up Your Wallet
- Option A: If you already have an existing wallet, select the "Access Existing Wallet" option.

Option B: To create a new wallet:
- Choose a robust and unique password for your new wallet.
- Ensure you store this password securely—consider using a password manager or writing it down and keeping it in a safe place.
- Verify your password by entering the passphrase when prompted. This step confirms you've noted down the passphrase correctly.
Step 4 - Access the Core Web Dashboard
- In the Core Wallet, look for the top left menu (often symbolized by three horizontal lines or dots)
- Click on it and select "Core Web" from the dropdown.
Step 5 - Connect Your Wallet to Core Web
Follow the prompts to seamlessly link your Core Wallet with the Core Web dashboard.
Step 6 - Fund Your Wallet
To stake tokens, you'll first need to have them in your wallet:
- Click on your account icon (usually found on the top right).
- From here, you can obtain either your P-Chain or X-Chain address.
- Use this address to send funds from another wallet or exchange to your Core Wallet.
Last step - Start the Staking Process
- Navigate to the "staking" option/menu on the Core Web dashboard.
- Here, you'll find a list of validators or instructions on how to delegate your tokens.
- Choose a validator, follow the onscreen instructions, and delegate the amount of AVAX tokens you wish to stake.
- Ensure you're familiar with the terms and conditions before proceeding, especially regarding lock-up periods and potential rewards.
