How to stake on
Cosmos (ATOM)
Step 1 - Download the Keplr wallet
- Website: https://www.keplr.app/
- Navigate to the mentioned URL and locate the download button or link for the Keplr Wallet.
Step 2 - Access the Keplr Wallet
Once downloaded and installed, launch the Keplr Wallet application.
Step 3 - Set Up Your Wallet
- Option A: If you already have an existing wallet, select the "Import an existing wallet" option.
- Option B: To create a new wallet:
- Choose a robust and unique password for your new wallet.
- Ensure you store this password securely—consider using a password manager or writing it down and keeping it in a safe place.
- Verify your password by entering the passphrase when prompted. This step confirms you've noted down the passphrase correctly.
Step 4 - Choose your chain
In the Keplr Wallet, locate and select "Cosmos Hub" from the available chains list.
Step 5 - Navigate to Keplr Dashboard
Click on the "Manage portfolio in Keplr Dashboard" button to move to the next step.
Step 6 - Selecting Cosmos Hub on Keplr Dashboard
- Within the Keplr Dashboard, head over to the left menu and click "Chains."
- From the list, select "Cosmos Hub" to view the relevant validators.
Step 7 - Delegate Your Tokens
- A list of validators will appear. Review and select the validator of your choice.
- Determine the amount of ATOM tokens you'd like to delegate to this validator.
Last step - Approve the Delegation
- Once you've decided on your delegation, a Keplr Wallet popup will request your approval for the transaction.
- Confirm and approve the transaction. Once done, your tokens will be staked with your chosen validator.
