How to stake on
Celo (CELO)
Step 1 - Download the Celo wallet
- Website: https://celowallet.app/
- Navigate to the mentioned URL and locate the download button or link for the Celo Wallet.
Step 2 - Set Up Your Wallet
- Option A: If you already have an existing wallet, select the "Use Existing Account" option.

Option B: To create a new wallet:
- Choose a robust and unique password for your new wallet.
- Ensure you store this password securely—consider using a password manager or writing it down and keeping it in a safe place.
- Verify your password by entering the passphrase when prompted. This step confirms you've noted down the passphrase correctly.
Step 3 - Load Your Wallet
- Tap on "Receive Celo" to unveil your wallet address.
- Copy the address and transfer some CELO tokens to it for staking.
Step 4 - Navigating to Staking Options
- Within the Celo wallet, tap on the "More" button.
- From the menu, select the "Stake" option.
Step 5 - Choose a Validator
- Review the list of validators and pick your preferred one.
- Access its detailed page, then click on the "Vote for group" button.
Step 6 - Stake Your Tokens
- Decide on the amount of CELO tokens you'd like to stake.
- Confirm your decision, essentially validating your vote (or stake delegation).
Step 7 - A Day's Patience
Post-delegation, a 24-hour waiting period ensues before your stake is activated.
Step 8 - Activating Your Votes
A day later, access your wallet. Click on the "Activate" button to initiate your votes.
Step 9 - Confirm Activation
Click "Continue" to finalize activating your vote.
Last step - Successful Staking
Congratulations! Your stake is now active, and you're partaking in the Celo network's consensus.
